Yeah…it’s been a while. I know. There’s really no excuse for the time period between the last few updates. My only true excuse is that I’ve just been lazy.
With that out of the way, I’ll update you on my progress…or to be more truthful; I’ll update you on my stagnation. In the timeframe of April 14 till today I’ve slacked off on my diet quite a bit. My high point in weight loss got me to a total of 30 lbs lost. Since then I’ve put 10 lbs back on. I’m now sitting at 348 lbs.
Unsurprisingly, I have found myself on the uphill slope of the preverbal rollercoaster. It seems I like the ride more than I thought I would. It’s time for this ride to start heading downhill again.
I made a visit to a doctor last week. I was having some problems with an earache and a lot of soreness in the right side of my head (jaw, neck, head, etc…). Turns out it was an inflamed TMJ (jaw). It had become inflamed due to eating sunflower seeds quite often over about a weeks’ time.
At-any-rate, I mention the doctor visit to inform you that my blood pressure is WAY TOO HIGH. I have been rather ignorant and childish about taking drugs. So, needless to say, to avoid having a stroke or heart attack I am now back on blood pressure medicine. 180/108 is not good at all. I go back in a month to see how the medicine is doing.
I contribute at least 20 to 30 points in my blood pressure level to stress at work. You would think a sit-down job dealing with computers wouldn’t be too stressful. WRONG. I’m literally sick every day I’m at work. I’m fine today, but then I’m not at work. I’m on vacation for 3 days.
Well, I won’t drag this out forever. I just wanted to let you all know that I’m still here, and that I’m hoping to get back on track in regards to my health. I’m guessing by this time next month I’ll also be back on a blood sugar pill as well.
Until next time.
I work at a computer job too. It can be highly stressful. It's good to read that you are getting back on track. Good luck with your health goals! You made great progress before, you can do it again.
